Frazzled Cafe is not just for the one-in-four of us who will suffer from mental illness at some point in our lives; it is for the four-in-four feeling frazzled and overwhelmed by the stresses of modern life.
Frazzled Cafe provides a safe, anonymous and non-judgemental environment where people who are feeling frazzled can meet on a regular basis to talk and share their personal stories.
Since May 2016, we have been running pilots and focus groups to refine the Frazzled Cafe model and on March 14th 2017 we announced the official launch of our roll-out, supported by Marks & Spencer.
Frazzled Cafe is currently running fortnightly meetings in London and Brighton and we will be releasing details soon of the launch dates for additional locations. The first wave will include: Cambridge, Canterbury, Leeds, London – Canary Wharf, Newcastle, Norwich, Nottingham and Staffordshire.
We will be adding more locations based on demand so please let us know where you would like to see a Frazzled Cafe launch next by signing up to our mailing list below. By doing so you will also be among the first to hear of new meetings and available spaces:
Please bear in mind these meetings are not therapy sessions. If you are currently suffering from serious mental illness it may not be appropriate to attend. Our “Need Help Now?” page offers some contacts that may be useful alternatives.
We have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback following our launch and are committed to meeting the demand for local Frazzled Cafes that has been expressed. We are also working to update our website to include details on how to volunteer to be a facilitator and what to expect at a Frazzled Cafe meeting.
Thank you for your support and please check back regularly for further updates!
